The new optical network unit (ONU) and optical line terminal (OLT) chip set from Broadcom

Author: SOPTO

Broadcom has announced that they launched a new optical network unit (ONU) and optical line terminal (OLT) chip set with DML (DOCSIS mediation layer) middleware. The new EPON products support the EPON DOCSIS service specification of American cable television laboratories (Cable Labs).
Broadcom represented the new chip group supports both 1G and 10G EPON; and the DML software allowed operators to easily switch between 1G and 10G EPON.
To follow the trend, we will develop our products based on the new technology, such as these ONU and OLT. At the same time, we will try our best to reduce the price for our customers.
